What we collect

DataClear collects your Google account email address and display name solely to authenticate you and associate your preferences with your account. No other personal data is collected.

How we use it

• Your email is used to verify you have access to one or more dealer dashboards.
• Your display name is shown in the dashboard header for your own reference.
• DataClear does not access, read, or store your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, or any other Google account data.
• DataClear does not sell, share, or disclose your information to third parties.

Google OAuth scopes

Signing in with Google requests the following permissions:

• openid, email, profile — identifies you and provides your email address and name. Required for login.
• Google Sheets (read/write) — used only for dealership accounts whose data is stored in Google Sheets. Not used for Postgres-native accounts.

DataClear does not use these permissions to access any personal Google account content. All dealership report data is ingested by a separate service account (kpi-ingest@), not by your personal credentials.

Data retention

Session data (your email and name) is stored in a signed browser cookie that expires after 14 days of inactivity. No personal data is written to our database beyond your email address and role assignment.
